Nick Montgomery

Owner | Head Coach and Program Co-ordinator

Nick has a football background of the highest pedigree, having played professionally for 20 years in the English Championship, Premier League and A league.

Nick arrived in AUSTRALIA in 2012 and immediately helped the Central Coast Mariners to their inaugural A league championship as well as

qualifying for the latter stages of the Asian Champions league.

Playing alongside local legend and grand final winning skipper John Hutchinson, Nick “Monty” as he is known became a crowd favourite and took over captaincy when Hutchinson retired.

Nick hung up his boots and playing days however is now currently Double Championship winning Head coach and TD of the Mariners NPL program and a fully qualified UEFA Pro licensed coach (the highest qualification there is) and also mentors players and coaches to give back to the game.

His vision for the centre is to help develop young players and also provide a facility for the local community and schools to enjoy competitions and keep a fit, healthy and active.

When Nick saw the old red shed formerly Burris gymnastics in a state of disrepair and derelict, he decided to take on the massive task to rejuvenate the space into one where kids could fall in love with the beautiful game and create an inspirational safe environment for the community to exercise and participate in different sports.

Nick and his family, wife Josie (who runs everything behind the scenes at TFG), and 3 daughters Chloe, Leah and Eva live here on the central coast and are now Citizens enjoying everything the central coast has to offer a young family. A local family run business for other local families to enjoy.

Heidi Wark

Centre Manager

Heidi has a degree in Business Administration and has enjoyed a variety of high end administration roles within different fields over many years. With both her children playing football at a high level, it was a natural transition for Heidi to use her skills in managing the centre. Heidi's

responsibility as Centre Manager is to ensure not only that The Football Grounds is run efficiently, but above all, that we offer a quality product for everyone on the Coast.

I love to play sport no matter what sport it is. Football however, is what I have a huge passion for. Playing the game, coaching the game and watching it all hours of the day is the best way to describe my passion. I am currently playing for Terrigal United BPL squad however had

previously played for Central Coast United and Maitland FC. I'm currently coaching Terrigal U13As and have been a coach at TFG for 3 years and love seeing the smiles of every kid that walks through the door. As a coach, there is no better pleasure than seeing a kid walk away from your session happy and excited about football and knowing they're going to talk to their parents about it all night.

I'm going into my 3rd year of coaching at TFG! I'm from the Central Coast and started playing football at the age of 9!

I've recently signed for Newcastle Olympic from the Central Coast Mariners Academy!

I'm always involved in football whether it be coaching, watching or playing it myself!

Outside of football iI love hanging out with my friends and family!

I am from Brisbane where I started playing at the age of 6. I started playing NPL for Moreton Bay Jets from under 12s to making my senior debut as a 17 year old. That is when I got my chance to trail with the Mariners. I also made many different Queensland representative teams along the way. I fell in love with coaching when I had a long term injury and I started working with my long term coach Jason Groth and he mentored my coaching, assisting him with Junior NPL teams at Moreton Bay.

Coach | Reception

I have played football since the age of 10. I started from the bottom and worked my way up to WPL where I am in my third season of premier league.

I love playing and working football. I especially love seeing young girls

enjoying themselves playing football.

I currently play for the Central Coast Mariners Youth Team.

I love playing football and being around friends and family.

I was actually born in Kenya and moved to Australia when I was 4 years

I recently signed for the Central Coast Mariners FC First Grade Team. I am a goal keeper (GK) and run the GK classes here and am available for GK one on ones.

I also coach other classes and I love anything to do with football, whether that is training, playing or coaching young kids to help them become the best they can be.

I grew up here on the Central Coast and still live locally.

I began my football career at the age of 8 for local side Terrigal United. At the age of 13 I made the CCM Academy side and have since gone on to play for Apia Leichhardt (U14) and Marconi Stallions (U15) before

returning to the Mariners at the age of 16.

I am still at the Mariners and currently playing under Monty and Sergio.

I have also represented Australia at an under 19s level. I found my love for coaching within the last few years and coach at both Mariners and here at TFG
