Lucas
Head Coach
Lucas Fajardo Vilela is the Head Coach here at TFG and was also Nick Montgomerys second assistant coach at the Central Coast Mariners during Monty's reign as A League Head Coach and he is also the coach of the U23s NPL Mariners squad.
He is a proud Brazilian/Uruguayan citizen and has been living and breathing football since the age of 4. In his hometown, Porto Alegre, he had the chance to play through his youth phase for Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, where he understood the game and training objectives at a high level.
He graduated in Physical Education at the Federal University of Rio Grande Do Sul where Lucas also played for the University Team and helped create a semi-professional Team - SC. Ipanema.
After completing his degree, he had the golden opportunity to experience the professional level when working with Douglas Costa - Brazilian National Team, Juventus (ITA), Shakhtar Donetsk (UA). From that experience, Lucas decided to move to Australia and learn English to restart his football coaching career.
He holds a CBF "A" Licence, and it is on top of the development of both PROgress Sports Management and DVLX Football philosophy and methodology. Lucas understands that through football, players can develop all senses of human beings and so becoming better people. He is very passionate about his coaching work and loves developing young athletes. The whole program is over seen and run by Lucas to ensure top level coaching so kids can develop and play at representative level.

Senior Coach
I commenced football at the age of 11 with Kariong Football Club and at the young age of 15, I began subbing up to the WPL Squad where I climbed the ranks, eventually earning a spot in the squad. Those early years taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, dedication, and perseverance, laying the foundation for my future in the game.
A new chapter in my career unfolded when I made the transition to Terrigal. Representing their WPL team, I embraced the challenge of competing at a higher level and thrived under the pressure, solidifying my reputation as a reliable and resilient centre back.
Throughout my journey, the number 12 has been my constant companion, serving as a symbol of resilience and determination on the field. Whether defending against formidable attackers or leading the charge from the backline, I wear it with pride and purpose.
Coaching Experience:
In addition to my exploits on the pitch, I've also ventured into coaching, a role that has enriched my understanding of the game and nurtured my leadership skills. My coaching journey began alongside mentors Monty and Sergio, who instilled in me the importance of communication and strategy.
However, it was under the guidance of Lucas that I experienced a transformative growth in both my coaching abilities and personal confidence. His mentorship empowered me to unlock my full potential and inspired me to guide the next generation of players with passion and purpose.
As I continue to evolve as a player and coach, I remain committed to pushing boundaries, inspiring others, and leaving a lasting legacy both on and off the field.
